“The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn” is an upcoming 2011 performance capture film based on a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Georges “Hergé” Remi. It’s directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, and written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. The scenario is based on 3 stories: The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham’s Treasure.
Spielberg believes the key is “really getting a very likeable Tintin who is in attitude exactly what Hergé wrote and brought to the international popular culture for almost eighty years.”
Spielberg declared recently: “It made me more like a painter than ever before”.The first part of the film, which is the most mysterious part, certainly owes much to not only film noir but the whole German Brechtian theatre.”
The Adventures of Tintin will be in theaters on December 23, 2011.
