Because we are now in an era of computer and technology based work roles and the associated sedentary recreation time, the onus of implementing an exercise program into our lifestyles has fallen onto the individual. Or has it? Let us look at some of the recent developments in the place of of work, today.
Many modern day Corporate Fitness Sydney work places are jumping on the bandwagon that echoes the sentiment that optimum employee fitness delivers great employee performance. One of the facets of good employee health is the implementation of a descent exercise program. And so it is, many employers are now getting behind endorsing corporate health incentives as a means to both drive down health care costs and reinforce employee health overall.
As it is, industry have become aware that when employees are fit and healthy in both mind and body, they can better deal with life pressure and complete tasks more efficiently at the workplace, too. If a staff members job is more movement based in nature, of course fitness will also be of central concern to keep an employee in good shape and at work, injury free.
If employees are not well or out of shape, they are a lot more likely to suffer an injury, and many may require extra sick days. By contrast, if health plans are implemented as a piece of a workday schedule, workers are highly productive, and probably wont take sick days or be away due to injury or sickness. And not to mention, this is a great bonus to employers not just in productivity, which we all know increases their profits; it also ultimately drives down the overall costs, as medical costs are reduced when employees are healthy.
And so we have established, many agencies now integrate corporate fitness programs to make their staff be more healthy and yes, happier. How would these employers achieve this?
First, employees’ health markers are assessed and categorized through surveys given by the organization. Then, complete fitness programs are drawn up for each employee. Some institutions have opted to build on site fitness centers or gymnasiums, so that employees can simply have access to these facilities during meal breaks and so on. Others have chosen to subsidies staff memberships at nearby fitness clubs so that it’s simple to go work out at lunch, on the journey to or on the way back from their work day.
Another solution being adopted, employers organize classes for their staff who train with each other, such as boxing pad classes, for example. In some cases, pre natal classes for child carrying women.
Corporate fitness training is a good move for the modern employer. It just makes sense. From the health of your individual employees to bringing on board good staff to fill vacancies, implementing a holistic fitness and health approach into the place of work will pay interest further down the road.
