The person who is DIY savvy will also have a number of drills, because there is always drilling needed for every job. If you are going to drill concrete, however, you would need a hammer drill. You will find that an ordinary drill will have you stand there for the entire day and achieve nothing.
The hammer drill will literally hammer its way into the wall. The great thing about a hammer drill is that you could use it for other applications as well. You could also use it for wood and metal which is very difficult to drill.
