sky hd review

Once I got my Panasonic high-def television, the foremost thing on my brain was how long do I have to wait to get sky high-def put in. I’d already experienced high def movies via my apple telly and was very taken, but I could not sustain paying for rented movies. What I truly needed is sky, I wanted all the films and I wanted football in hd. I had read numerous sky hd reviews that I had to simply order it now.

How did I order sky high-def

Well I got on-line and signed up, it took around 10 mins and was fairly pain-free, much of my time was spent shuffling up the bundles, adding and removing – did I truly want sky arts. I opted for the sky high-definition box, the HD pack and the movie pack. It was rather pricy I would now find myself paying barely under 60 pounds per month but would have everything I wanted in high definition. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing put in, I live in flats and already have a common dish, so the sky install was just some feller giving me the sky high-definition box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this blokes job. It took him about five mins, afterwards which he gave me a fast rundown on the features. I just needed him to go away so I could play with my new toy.

How good is the high def picture
The high-def picture quality is in a word spectacular. The best way I can describe it? well, I wear eyeglasses the pictures on a regular telly is like watching without my specs, blurred, lack of detail etc. When you experience a high def image is like wearing the glasses so much more detail, clear you start to see things that you would never find on the old image. I found myself thinking what would the matrix look like in high-def, before I knew it I was watching all my favorite films again in high def.

Other benefits of sky high definition

Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is dramatic.
The remote record feature is also a good feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the television schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can surf the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky high definition box ready to view.

Free broadband – I was a little unsure about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never solved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really defeated. So thanks to bt, I determined to choose for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt twenty pounds for the pleasure of their terrible service.

I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading trying the net as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
