Generally credit scores are based upon tradlines reported on a consumer’s credit profile. The 3 main credit bureaus maintain credit information on more than 100 million Americans. Unfortunately, data shows that approximately three out of every 4 credit profiles have potentially serious mistakes. These inaccuracies could result in lower credit scores.
Statutes designed to protect individuals require that the credit bureaus report accurate and complete information that is not misleading. Given the number of reported credit reports and creditors reporting, the credit bureaus’ obligations to abide by these statutes are costly and very time consuming. Of course, the credit reporting companies would prefer not to incur the costs to investigate and validate the items reported.
This is why legal credit repair firms exist. This company, Ovation Credit really helped me repair my credit reports and in a short amount of time too. I found a number of inaccuracies on my reports and they notified the credit bureaus on my behalf to get them fixed.
